A small dam. Can you see the steps going down into the water in the lower right hand corner - makes a swimming hole. |
Dark and cool |
Peaceful |
If I was a little boy I'd walk across that fallen tree |
Oh what the heck....
Some wild life....
A small eel in the swimming hole |
A goanna half way up a tree |
how lovely, looks cooling and relaxing.
ReplyDeleteIs this in the Wattagan National Park?! We recently camped here too! Beautiful spot... loved that mossy wall!
ReplyDeleteIt looks beautiful Kate. I wish I was there!
ReplyDeleteGee you just made me realise it's been about four years since I visited a rainforest! Must get out more! Your photos are lovely.
ReplyDeletethere is nothing quite like getting out into nature to re-charge your soul. Lovely photos, thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteNow that is really weird. I have a vivid childhood memory of walking across that dam when I was on a day trip with a school friend (without my parents). I had no idea where it was. Is that within the Hunter Region? I grew up in Morisset, so wouldn't make sense if it wasn't.
ReplyDeleteHope all is well with you and yours. I'm thinking I might head out to some beautiful spot like that to recharge my slightly tense self!!! I love rainforest's too - there is something so still and primeval when you are deep with in the moist green forest. And healing!
