Slowing Down- week 3

I was all set to write a new post on slowing down but came across this post at this brown wren. Steph talks about slowing down so that her children can help. Even though she is a kindergarten teacher trained in helping children achieve indepenance through mastering simple chores, Steph became caught up in  the convenience of doing things quickly and efficiently by herself and in the process robbing her children of the opportunity of learning new skills. She is able to reorganise things so that household chores become much more child friendly and as a consequence her days become easier as her little girl contributes in her own little way.
