Yoga

When I bought my yoga DVD 5 weeks ago, I thought, at $25 , that if Mark and I only did 1 practice each it would pay for itself, because lessons are $15 each. I wasn't sure if I would be committed enough, but I did know that I wanted to do yoga again. But I knew that I just couldn't commit to making time to go to a yoga teacher or come up with $15 dollars each every week. And it has been better than I'd imagined, so much so that I bought 3 new discs.  One is a Kirtan CD which I just love to listen to . The chanting soothes. I also bought a Yoga Nidra, which I listened to this afternoon. What a great meditation. And the 3rd was another DVD on yoga exercises and it's better than the first. Have just finished it and feel great!
They all come from Byron Yoga.

Anybody else do yoga, at home! Have a great weekend everyone.

  2. I've been thinking about it for oh maybe 10 years!! I went to a yoga class once but couldn't relax in there amongst all the other peeps... perhaps doing one at home might be the answer!

  3. I love the idea of yoga because I've always felt great when I've done it. You must be more committed/organized than me though because I decided to do yoga when I was last pregnant. I used the DVD once!!! Enjoy!

  4. Yoga is great, but I do find that my brain won't seem to 'quieten' down for it. My sister runs the Yoga Shed at Lower Belford and sometimes I go there ....it is the meditation part I find the hardest , which probably means I need to do more !

  5. I have a yoga book I follow. I feel so much beter when I take the time to practice regularly, but I rarely do.

You'd enjoy time at the mangrove Mountain Ashram. http://www.satyananda.net/mangrove-nsw I've spent some time there and absolutely love it. Healthy food, plenty of quiet time, kirtan and yoga practice. We'd mind the farm for you ;-)

I've just shared some pics over at the blog of what will hopefully be our new property. Hopefully i'll be designing for more than a backyard when I do my certificate with Mark.
